Massive Free Sheikh Zakzaky Protest In More Than 50 Nigerian Towns And Cities

The #FreeZakzaky protest of yesterday in more than 50 Nigerian towns and cities was massive. Hundreds of thousands of Nigerians flooded the streets chanting freedom for Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his wife. I shared pictures and videos of the protests and I became tired.

There are towns and villages in the hinterland that I have never heard of but I saw pictures of them Yesterday protesting for Free Sheikh Zakzaky. There is tremendous progress going on. The enemy has woefully failed and Sheikh Zakzaky predicted this scenario in the past.

#FreeZakzaky is Trending on Twitter since yesterday. I am very tired! Wanted to rest and catch some sleep today but the pictures of the massive Free Sheikh Zakzaky protest from Pakistan started flooding in. Had to share.

Some Saudi-sponsored Wahhabi clerics in Nigeria have started grumbling that Shia is spreading like wildlife despite all what they are doing. Na God, they can't do a damn thing!

We should strengthen the bond of love and brotherhood among us. This is what makes the enemy unhappy. Offer excuses for your brothers and sisters as we are not infallible.

We Will Win InshaAllah!
Humanity Always Win!

Man Killed After Surgeon Left A Needle In His Body After Surgery

A family in Tennessee is suing TriStar Centennial hospital after their 73-year-old family relative died a month after a surgeon left a needle inside him.
John Burns Johnson, 73, of Lafayette, had open heart surgery at TriStar. When the nine-hour surgery was completed the surgeon, Dr. Sreekumar Subramanian, realized not all of his needles were accounted for.
The surgeon re-opened Johnson, who underwent an additional three hours of surgery as the team tried to retrieve the needle, but they were ultimately unable to remove it.
The lawsuit says the surgeon closed Johnson's chest and rewired his sternum, leaving the needle inside.
'Mr. Johnson's condition continued to deteriorate over the next thirty days,' the lawsuit states, according to KGW8 . 'He was critically ill and never saw his home again.'
The lawsuit says the needle was not removed until his autopsy.
It also alleges his final month of life leading up to his death was 'painful, unnecessary and wrongful.'
TriStar declined to respond to the lawsuit but released a statement regarding the incident.
'We take the responsibility of properly caring for our patients very seriously and empathize with the understandable grief being felt by the family,' the TriStar statement said.
Subramanian has a five star rating on the hospital's site and has no discipline cases against him.
The lawsuit was filed by Johnson's widow, son and daughter.

Ohuhu Have Problems Of Infrastructure But The Most Urgent Is Water - Onwuneme

Engr Nwabueze Nnamdi Onwuneme a former Special assistant to the governor of Abia state and currently the Director General Buhari South East Youth Movement (BUSEYM) friday purchased the All Progressives Congress Nomination form in readiness for the 2019 Abia House Of Assembly election.

Engr Onwuneme who is an APC chieftain picked the form in Abuja on Friday 7th of September 2018, addressing his supporters, Onwuneme said his strength comes from God almighty and that he is ready and capable to ensure that Ohuhu is no longer used as a campaign ground and abandoned afterwards.

He said the Ohuhu clan have problems bothering on infrastructure but the most urgent is water and the government seem not to be interested in giving Ohuhu potable water, if I get into the house I will ensure that the greater Okpara water scheme is revived and reticulated across Ohuhu.

It’s not rocket science, if Dr. M. I. Okpara can do it then, we can do it now, but because those who have represented us with all due respect have not aggressively addressed the issues bothering the Ohuhu man, that’s why we are neglected, I can’t point at any state government project either completed or ongoing in Ohuhu and still our political leaders are forcing us to support a government that has neglected and abandoned us for the second time, and I promise you that will not happen.

It has come to a point where the Ohuhu man will have to take his destiny into his hands, we all must contribute to develop Ohuhu and I promise you if I get into the house I will not only aggressively pursue policies that will bring in development, I will also draw the attention of the federal government into the gully erosion that is ravaging Ohuhu.

Engineer Onwuneme said, I know our problems and I am ready to tackle it, all I need is the platform and that’s why I have come to purchase this form today.

My life is in danger, says Obiano

The Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, on Tuesday, said he was no longer comfortable standing for the November 18 governorship poll in the state.

He said his life was in danger as far as the poll was concerned, stressing that his security details had been withdrawn.

The governor said the withdrawal was ominous as it had exposed his life to eminent threat.

Obiano stated this in Awka during an election stakeholders' meeting organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

He described the act as unacceptable and dangerous.

He demanded the return of his security details in order not to constitute further threats capable of overheating the polity, adding that he would fight back if nothing is done about it.

Obiano said, "I want my security details returned immediately because I am going to start a fight from there. I am the governor of Anambra State and all the paraphernalia of my office must be there.

"This is unacceptable and a sign of what will happen. Those behind this would be disappointed because we are very ready for this election."

According to the governor, he had wanted to speak with the Inspector General of Police who was scheduled to be on the occasion, but said he had to voice it out at the event since he was not aware when the IGP would come.

The governor had earlier complained of having not been accorded recognition by the moderator of the function when he walked in, despite several attempts to make a comment.

But reacting, the National Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, said the event was a stakeholders' meeting, and as such no candidate would be accorded any special treatment regardless of his position.

He said the commission insisted on equal treatment of all candidates in the election and should not only have equal standing, but must be respected.

Speaking later, the Inspector General of Police, Idris Mohammed, said the police decided to withdraw the policemen attached to politicians because of previous experiences where such cops worked for their " master."

He said movement would be restricted on the election day, assuring the people that the state would be adequately policed.

He said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Garba Umar, had been asked to step down for neutrality while he would be replaced with another who had no affinity with the state.

"We are bringing entirely new faces to conduct this election. We need your cooperation; we need your support. We are going to conduct 'stop and search;" we are going to raid some black sports," the IGP said.

Exploding sunroofs: Proposed class-action suit started against Hyundai Canada

Hyundai is the target of a proposed class-action lawsuit related to alleged issues with vehicle sunroofs, Global News has learned.

The lawsuit, which hasn’t yet been certified as a class-action lawsuit, was initiated in December of 2016 by Calgary-based law firm Jensen Shawa Solomon Duguid Hawkes (JSS Barristers).

According to the statement of claim filed by JSS Barristers, Hyundai started selling cars equipped with large panoramic sunroofs, which span almost the entire length of the vehicle roofs, around 2011.

But “panoramic sunroofs lack proper stability and integrity, leaving them susceptible to spontaneous shattering under everyday driving conditions,” according to allegations in the document.

Hyundai is the car brand with the highest number of reports of shattering sunroofs in Canada, Global News has previously reported based on data obtained from Transport Canada. The Hyundai Santa Fe topped the charts for being the vehicle model with the most complaints of the same kind, numbers as of Oct. 16, 2017, showed.

Hyundai is also the brand with the most such reports in the United States, according to Consumer Reports.

The proposed class-action suit focuses on the following vehicles if equipped with factory-installed or replacement panoramic sunroofs:

2013-2016 model year Hyundai Santa Fe Sport
2013-2016 model year Hyundai Santa Fe
2013-2016 model year Hyundai Elantra GT
2011-2016 model year Hyundai Sonata
2011-2016 model year Hyundai Tucson
2011-2016 model year Hyundai Veloster

Hyundai Canada said it would not comment on ongoing legal matters. The allegations made in the statement of claim have not been proven.

The Detective Who Tracked Billionaire Kidnapper Evans Killed (Photo)

One of the security operatives who nailed billionaire kidnapper, Onwumadike Chukwudumeme has lost his life in a successful operation in the Niger Delta region. The Intelligence Response Team (IRT) under the watch of an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Abba Kyari at the weekend, lost one of its gallant officers to the cold hands of death.

The gallant officer was one of the leading ‘field detectives’ who tracked and demystified Lagos based billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuadike aka Evans.

It was in the middle of a similar arrest that the suspect pumped bullets into Lanre’s stomach while his colleague got shot in the hand.

Unperturbed by the surprise attack, both the late Sergeant and others chased after the kidnappers and killed the man that fired the killer shots.

The bullets lodged in their bodies were later extracted with medical teams on ground confirming that the injured Policemen were responding to treatment.

But tragedy struck a few days later. It was discovered that Sergeant Lanre who had opened his eyes and exchanged pleasantries with his colleagues, gave up the ghost.

“It is really sad and painful altogether. We have not been able to tell his wife and other family members yet. This is the risk of the job we are talking about; we put our lives on line for others, yet when it is time for promotion, one thing or the other will happen and the list will be kept in view.

“Look at this now, Sergeant Lanre was one of the men that put his life on the line to arrest Evans and now he is dead. We don’t even know how to break the news to his wife and family. It is painful,” one of his colleagues said at the weekend.

The commander of IRT, ACP Kyari, is said to be in deep pain over Lanre’s death.

A source close to his office that confirmed the tragic exit of Sergeant Lanre said arrangements are already being made for a befitting burial.
